Measuring the Success of Organizational Development

January 31, 2024
2:00 pm – 3:00 pm Central Time

The fluctuation that has occurred worldwide economically and politically has caused organizations to adjust their operational practices. Likewise, organization development (OD) professionals have had to adapt at an increasingly rapid rate. With resources being challenged, the question is—do OD interventions show value?

OD professionals must prove the value of their efforts. If they fail to do so, management buy-in, budgetary support, and even their jobs are at risk. After all, OD programs don’t come cheap. The good news is that it is possible to connect complex numbers to the impact of OD programs, projects, and initiatives, especially soft skills such as leadership development, culture, and DEI. And it is feasible to calculate the financial ROI credibly without draining resources.

This webinar will show you how to design OD projects to deliver impact, calculate ROI, and use the results to maintain or enhance the OD budget.

Webinar participants will receive a handout, a copy of the presentation, and a free copy of Measuring the Success of Organization Development: A Step-by-Step Guide to Measuring Impact and Calculating ROI (ASTD Press), print or eBook.

After completing this session, participants should be able to:

  1. Identify the types of data executives need from OD projects.
  2. Align OD projects to the business.
  3. Follow the steps to calculate the ROI.
  4. Use the results from OD projects to influence the OD budget.
